    Well, it finally happened.

I bought an MTG intro pack today.

    God help me.

I blame Nephew #1 and his recent discovery of Pokémon.

What counts as an MTG intro pack nowadays?

    Specifically, this.

I didn't really want to get caught up in a theme like New Phyrexia or Mirrodin despite how much more accessible their intro decks were.

Okay, so they haven't changed much, then. Which is fine. The intro packs are from the core set, and the core set always has cards you'll use for all your other decks, anyway, if you decide to get more.

Yeah, that's pretty much the plan.

While I initially put the blame on Nephew #1 and his discovery of Pokémon on the schoolyard, it's actually my sister who spurred us/me into buying physical cards up. A while ago I introduced her to Magic Online and she tried the demo and played using my account on her laptop, but she's gone out and said that she'd rather play with physical cards.

...Hopefully she'll buy her own one of these days.

Howdy, Stranger!
